THE MINISTER MKENDA WANTS SCHOOL PRINCIPALS NOT TO
INDULGE IN EXAM FRAUD
Minister
of Education, Science and Technology Prof. Adolf Mkenda has strongly condemned
the rigging of examinations by some unscrupulous government employees and urged
school principals not to indulge in such fraud.
Minister
Mkenda said this in Dodoma while opening the 17th General Meeting of the
Tanzania Secondary School Principals' Association (TAHOSA) where he said by
doing so he is preparing a nation that will fail to work effectively.
He
said that the examinations have been going well at the Tanzania Examinations
Council, except when going to school, there have been very few people who are
involved in fraud and that the Government will not tolerate such fraud.
"Whoever
cheats on the exams we will arrest him, teachers make sure you refuse to get
involved in the cheating and be more careful on exam issues," emphasized
Minister Mkenda.
THE COMMISSIONER OF EDUCATION OPENS THE MEETING OF
STAKEHOLDERS OF THE TESP PROJECT
An
opinion has been given to all teachers of primary and secondary schools and
colleges in the country to reduce the use of whips and threats to students as a
way to make them successful in their studies because that is not the right
attitude.
The
opinion has been given in Dar es Salaam by the Commissioner of Education, Dr.
Lyabwene Mtahabwa during the opening of the two-day meeting of stakeholders of
the Teacher Education Development Project (TESP) where he represented the
Secretary General, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Dr. Francis
Michael
He
added that teachers should be aware that all children do not have the same
ability, so they should consider them and find different ways to help each
other.
"True
progress in the country is brought by good education, good education is brought
by good teachers and good teachers whose main characteristic is love for
students and other stakeholders of education. A teacher is a mirror of society,
full of wisdom and wisdom and a refuge for all people, said Dr. You will be
rewarded.
He
said the purpose of the meeting is to reflect on the way the project has been
implemented and to discuss how to strengthen and develop the things that have
been implemented successfully after the project ends.
"So these two days we will look at what has been done through this TESP Project and then set strategies on how to develop this project," added Dr. Lyabwene.
