HOW TO IMPROVE AGRICULTURE – PART 1

1. Boost irrigation
With the growing effects of climate change on weather patterns, more irrigation will be needed. Average yields in irrigated farms are 90% higher than those of nearby rain-fed farms.

2. Precision farming practices

Technology like variable-rate seeding and fertilizing allows farmers to automatically seed and apply nutrients at the exact amount needed at the precise spot to optimize the best yields for required inputs based on soil types and other data inputs.

3. Implementation of land reforms

For improving the production, land reforms are the first and predominant point. Machines, tractors, and implements do land reforms. These machines have the qualities that make rugged farming areas smooth to work on the field efficiently. Working on the field is easy, that means an improvement in productivity is easy. Land reforms are the best method to increase production.

4. Comprehensive Planning

Successful farmers proactively plan every aspect of their production, from a seasonal point of view to the planning of weekly and daily work tasks. Planning doesn’t include only to-do lists, it is important that it includes anticipated yield, revenues, and budget and covers all crucial aspects from work orders to workers, machinery, or resource usage.
