IMPORTANCE OF LEARNING FRENCH – PART 2

4. Studying French increases your appreciation of other people and their cultures.

French is the first or second language in more than 40 countries and is spoken by 125 million people around the world, on every continent. Because French is a foreign language of choice for so many people in the world, knowing French will also increase your chances of communicating in a non-English speaking country. You can use French to develop international friendships, as well as to communicate via the Internet.

5. A language that is fun to learn

Contrary to popular belief, French is not a difficult language to learn. It is a language that requires a certain precision but is also capable of expressing great subtlety. It does not take long to reach a level where you can communicate in French. There are many methods on the market that make learning French enjoyable, starting with the first years of school. French also appeals to students because it is a soft, melodious, romantic language.

6. Travel enhancing language

Another good reason to learn French is Travelling.

Imagine, for some reason, you are to take a tour of Africa or visit France or other French-speaking countries in Europe and beyond. Knowing how to speak French will make your travel enjoyable. With 89 million tourists visiting it in 2019, France is the most visited country globally, and that number keeps growing.

France has numerous famous monuments, museums, galleries, landscapes, and historical sites reflecting a country with roots deep in history and a wonderful heritage. You will be able to show more appreciation and enjoy the Francophone culture.
